Do you have to be a member to play at Springs Pickleball?
No. Guests (non-Members) are welcome, but to register for a court, open play, or event, you will need to download the Springs Pickleball app in the Apple or Android app store. Once you create a free account on our app, you will be able to see all of the events and register for them. You can also create an account on a computer here without downloading the app: Create a free account here.
Do I have to make a reservation to play?
Making a reservation through our website or app will guarantee you a reserved court or a spot in open play sessions and other events. We always allow people to walk in and either join an open play session or reserve a court if they are available. We cap the number of people in open play to ensure the waiting times for courts are minimal.
Can I play at both locations if I have a membership or account?
Yes! Once you have downloaded the free Springs Pickleball app (on the Apple and Android stores), you will be able to sign up for events or make reservations at either our West (780 Vondelpark Dr) or East (2975 New Center Pt) Colorado Springs locations. One of the benefits of being a free or paid member is that you will have access to more open plays, leagues, and socials at the two locations.
How do I sign up for a membership?
For our grand opening of the East location, we are doing a 30-day for $30 Unlimited membership trial. For only $30, you can get 30 days of unlimited open play and court reservations. We will even provide some free beginner clinics during your first 30 days. After 30 days, you can cancel, but if you love your membership, it will automatically convert to our $99/mo Unlimited membership grand opening special. This membership is usually $139/mo, and there are only 300 new memberships available at this price.

Springs has the most level open plays in the city. You can join a two-hour open play session with 8 to 24 other players at your same level and enjoy rotating with other players after each game. Click here for upcoming open plays.
Can I reserve a court for a group and how does payment work for each person?
One person from a group can reserve a court, and then they will enter the other players on the reservation, and each player will be charged for the court time according to their membership level. If you don’t know all of the names of the people playing, or if they aren’t in the system, you can choose “Full Court / Solo Play” as the reservation type and then add the names of the other players later or at check-in.
What is CourtReserve and do you have an app?
You can download the Springs Pickleball app in the App Store and create an account that allows you to sign up and play at our East and West locations. If you already have the CourtReserve app, you can also add one or both of our locations as an additional organization. Once you are signed into the app, you can become a guest or paid member and register for events and reserve courts.
What do you have for beginners?
We love helping new people to pickleball learn how easy it is to learn and have fun! We have a FREE Intro to Pickleball class several times a week where you can join other players to learn the basics of the game. We provide the paddles and balls for the class, so all you have to do is show up. After the class, our team can help you take the next step. This could include registering for a beginner’s four-week class, signing up for a beginner’s open play, or taking a private lesson with one of our instructors.

What is Dynamic Universal Player Rating (DUPR) and how does Springs Pickleball use it?
DUPR is the number one system used to rate pickleball players and helps everyone have more fun in open plays, leagues, and tournaments. Many events at Springs Pickleball have a suggested DUPR rating, and some higher-level events are restricted based on your DUPR rating. Here are the rating ranges:
2.0 – 2.99 DUPR = Beginner
3.0 – 3.99 DUPR = Intermediate
4.0+ DUPR = Advanced
Our app integrates with MyDUPR.com to input scores into DUPR and update your DUPR rating within our app. At Springs Pickleball, we have 1700 players with DUPR ratings are the #7 club in the country for DUPR players. We strongly believe this means more fair and competitive tournaments, leagues, and open plays.
How do I get a DUPR?
If you’ve played in tournaments, you may already have one. You can create a DUPR account at MyDUPR.com, and once you have a DUPR account number, you can connect it to your Springs Pickleball app profile. It takes about six DUPR matches to get a provisional rating, and then the more you play, the more accurate your DUPR rating will be. We have DUPR events to help build your DUPR rating, and we have DUPR rating classes where our DUPR-trained Pro will provide you with a DUPR rating after the one-hour class.
Do you have a ball machine that I can rent?
Yes. We have a top-of-the-line Ernie ball machine that members can rent for $16/HR and $20/HR for Non-Members (in addition to the court fee). It is a great way to get lots of practice in with the six different drills built into it. Multiple people can use the court and ball machine to help cover the cost.
