Do you have to be a member to play at Springs Pickleball?

No. Guest (non-Members) are welcome, but to register for a court, open play or event, you will need to create a free account on our Court Reserve. Once you do, you will be able to see all of the events and register for them. Create a free account here.
 

Do I have to make a reservation to play?

Making a reservation through our website or the CourtReserve app will guarantee you a reserved court or a spot  in open play sessions and other events. We always allow people to walk in and either join an open play session or reserve a court if they are availabLe. We put a cap on the number of people in open play to make sure the waiting times for courts are a minimum.

How do I sign up for a membership?

If you have a CourtReserve account from NorthSide Social or the Big House, you will need to log into your account and add Springs Pickleball as an additional location. What does it cost to play pickleball?

You can reserve a court for up to six people for $30/hr M-F 6 am – 5pm and $40/hr M-F after 5 pm and on weekends. ($7.50 and $10 per hour per person). Members pay 50% less or $15/hr and $20/hr ($3.75 and $5 per hour per person). If you play more than once a week, a membership will save you money and give you other benefits.

Can I reserve a court for a group and how does payment work for each person?

One person from a group can reserve a court and then they will enter the other players on the reservation and each player will be charged for the court time according to their membership level.

What is the CourtReserve app and how do I use it?

CourtReserve is a free app that you can download to your smartphone. It allows you to reserve courts, become a member and join events. Search for CourtReserve in your app store and then add Springs Pickleball as your organization. From there you can become a guest or paid member and register for events or reserve courts.

Can I reserve a court by phone or email?

Yes & No. You can call and we will be happy to reserve the court for you over the phone but we will not accept reservations via email. The easiest way to reserve a court is to click on “Book a Court” on our website and choose an open time and complete the reservation information.

Are events, tournaments, and private lessons open to guests?

All of the above will be available to both members and Guests.  Members will always be charged a lower price than guest and can register sooner.

How do I sign-up for Clinics, Tournaments, Round Robins, Open-Play, Leagues, Etc.?

All scheduling is done through CourtReserve. For maximum convenience, simply download the CourtReserve App on your mobile device and select Springs Pickleball as your organization. From the app you can see what events are coming up and make reservations with a touch of the button. You can also see a list of upcoming events at https://springspickleball.com/event-schedule/

Can I reserve a court in advance?

Yes. Guests and members alike can reserve courts in advance. The difference is visitors pay more and can only reserve courts 3 days in advance. Members pay less and may reserve courts 7 days in advance. Court reservations are always subject to availability.

What are the maximum number of players per court for court reservations?

We allow a maximum of 6 players per court. Four would play at a time with two people rotating in.

What is the court reservation cancellation/no-show policy?

We allow cancellations up to 24 hours before the scheduled reservation. For a court reservation you can sub out new players after the 24 hours if someone can’t make it. Cancellations after 24 hours and no-shows will have their account charged.

Do I need my own equipment?

No. We have rental paddles available for $5 per session. We have balls available for purchase.

Is there a pro shop?

Yes. We will supply a wide variety of paddles, shirts, and accessories to meet all your pickleball needs.

Are there restrooms and changing rooms available?

Restrooms are available and are located on the North side of the building just outside of Court #1. We also have a single restroom available upstairs in our loft for players using the Mezzanine Courts. We also offer two changing stations just outside of Court #4.

What is Dynamic Universal Player Rating (DUPR) and how will Springs Pickleball use it?

DUPR is one of several systems used to rate pickleball players. Springs Pickleball will use it to properly seed tournaments and leagues, ensuring that players will compete against players of roughly similar abilities.

How do I get a DUPR?

If you’ve played in tournaments, you may already have one. If not, you can get one by playing in one of our leagues or tournaments.

What is the dinking room and may I use it?

The dinking room is a miniature pickleball court on which players can practice dinking. It is too small to play a full game. The dinking room is available to members free of charge with a reservation and guests may use it for $20/hr and $28/hr during prime-time. Up to four players can use the dinking court under one reservation. If the room is open, members can reserve a spot at the front desk.

Do you have a ball machine that I can rent?

Yes. We have a top of the line ball machine that members can rent for $16/HR and $20/HR for Non-Members. It is a great way to get lots of practice in with the six different drills built into it.

Do you have a practice wall?

Yes. If courts are open the cement walls on the West side of the courts works well as a practice wall.
